Piano Studio Photos
We spent several months creating the private studio space in our daylight basement. There is ample parking in the front of the house and a separate, lighted entrance around the back. Doors between this section of the house and our living space help ensure that family activities do not interfere with piano instruction.
Students enter into the small waiting area, complete with coat hooks and a computer with music programs to do while waiting for a lesson. We are a "shoes-off" studio and there are a couple of chairs for those who wish to wait inside during the lesson.
Here are two views of the class piano area. We have 5 state of the art Roland keyboards and plenty of room for each student.
Here are a few views of the private lesson area. This area features two Steinway pianos. Students use the grand piano each week. The Steinway grand is also used for our frequent "mini-recitals."
During private lessons, the curtains are pulled for privacy.
Here is a view of the full studio from the other direction, and the music library. You can also see the shelf full of colorful bins, which are the home of many rhythm instruments and musical games.
We have a private bathroom and kitchenette where students can wash their hands before their lesson or class.
