
Jennifer Bowman, Director

Pianist Jennifer (Walsh) Bowman is a native of Olympia, WA who has earned degrees in Piano Performance, Piano Pedagogy and Collaborative Piano from
Whitman College,
Northern Illinois University and The
Juilliard School.
She has studied with Janet Mooney, Leonard Richter, Lee Thompson,
Debra Richter, Donald Walker, Margo Garrett, Jonathan Feldman, Rohan
de Silva, Brian Zeger and Samuel Sanders.
She has performed in
many of the major concert venues in the area including Benaroya Hall, Nordstrom Recital Hall, Meany Hall, Meydenbauer Center, Seattle Art Museum, KING FM, Seattle Library, Town Hall, Frye Museum, The Governor’s Mansion, Brechemin Auditorium,
Cordiner Hall and many more. Professionally she has worked with
Seattle Opera,
Seattle Symphony,
Northwest Opera in Schools,
The Fifth Avenue Theatre,
Academy of Music Northwest,
Seattle Conservatory,
Capital Playhouse, and
Pacific Lutheran University.
A music educator for over 25 years, Ms. Bowman
has taught piano from the elementary to the collegiate level
(currently on the faculty of PLU), and is
also an experienced vocal coach with over 15 years of experience. She is an active member of the
Olympia Chapter of the Music Teacher’s National Association
(MTNA), and a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC).
Mrs. Bowman loves to teach students of
all ages & abilities. Her students describe her as someone who
maintains high standards, yet approaches each individual with
"enthusiasm," "boundless energy," and "with positive feedback."
She truly loves the challenge of creating an individualized course
of study for each student.
Mrs. Bowman is married and has two sons. She also enjoys
reading, home improvement projects and running.
